Contributing to the Congregation meaningfully will look different for each of us. We honor and appreciate any time you give. The congregation needs individuals and families to take on tasks, lead, create, teach, step-up, be recognized. New opportunities open up daily, keep checking back!
Bingo provides space and opportunities for members of the shul and greater Kingston community to share an evening of fun, affordable food, and of course Bingo!
All positions (except caller) can be learned in 5 -10 minutes. Looking for people to come once a month or as often as is feasible. We can also use baked goods for sale in the kitchen!
Multiple positions available:
- 4 Positions selling bingo cards
- 2 people needed for the first shift: 5:30 -7pm
- 2 people needed for the full shift: 5:30-8:30pm
- Bell jar: 5-8:30pm
- Runner: 7-10pm
- Caller: 5:30pm set up; 7-10pm.
- Kitchen setup from:
- Setup: 3:30pm
- Early shift 4:30-7pm
- Late 7-8:45pm

We are looking for donations of savory or sweet dishes. Please contact Samara to let her know you will be bringing a dish and what you will be bringing so we can ensure a variety. Regular and gluten-free dishes are welcome. Dairy or vegetarian, please.
Dishes should be dropped off Friday, 5/17 or Saturday morning before 10 am. If you would like to make a dish and cannot bring it to the temple, please contact Samara to arrange pick up.
Congregation Emanuel of the Hudson Valley/Ulster Immigrant Defense Network (UIDN) is seeking a co-volunteer to serve as the CEHV- UIDN liaison. You would join Lisette Landin (who has volunteered) in:
- Attending bimonthly (6x/year) meetings of 20 faith-based Ulster Immigrant Defense Network affiliates to receive:
- Updates on Ulster immigrants’ needs
- Government policy developments
- UIDN current activities
- Brainstorming future projects to meet ongoing and new needs
Helping engage CEHV members in the effort!
The first UIDN faith-based affiliates meeting will most likely be held on the last Wednesday in May; the date may change based on response.
