Contributing to the Congregation meaningfully will look different for each of us. We honor and appreciate any time you give. The congregation needs individuals and families to take on tasks, lead, create, teach, step-up, be recognized. New opportunities open up daily, keep checking back!
Calling caring volunteers! The Everette Hodge Community Center, 15-21 Franklin St in Kingston provides a safe, supportive after-school program for youth. This includes homework help, healthy meals, recreation, and skill-building activities. needs our help in mentoring kids ages 10-15 with skill building.
Our first of two programs with the Hodge Center is on Tues May 7, 3:30-5:00pm, although we may switch to May 6th if needed). The second program will be in June (date flexible), which will hopefully facilitate deeper relationships with our neighbors.
Ask yourself: What skills do you have that might engage kids in this age group recreationally and/or vocationally?
Note we will NOT be responsible for supervising the kids—a group leader will do that.
