The strong back to our community's open heart

We believe in:

  • advocacy for social justice
  • fostering deeds of loving kindness
  • tikkun olam for the world we live in and the world of future generations

Committee meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 7:15pm. The Congregation Emanuel Social Action Committee is always open to hearing about your passion projects. We work together to support all in our community.

A number of our projects run in tandem with initiatives championed by the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, which has served as the hub of Jewish social justice work for over six decades.

We sponsor numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including cemetery clean-ups, a Christmas Feast for the neediest in our community, and fundraising for Hurricane relief. We hope you’ll get involved.
