A Mystical Experience Celebrating Trees and Our Connection to Them!
Celebrate Tu B’shevat with your congregation, an hour long mystical seder (singing, tasting & touching fruits of the trees) contemplating how we are in balance with ourselves, one another and the earth.
*Brotherhood & Sisterhood invite you to join them for Babka & Coffee before the seder to schmooze with others, from 10:30am to 11am, then move to the Tu B’Shevat seder beginning at 11am.
*Bring a poem or meditation on trees, nature, being in balance that you might choose to share during the Seder.
*Childrens Planting Activity – children will be planting parsley which will be harvested for Passover.
*Each member unit is asked to bring a plate of fruit according to their last name:
- Families whose last name begins with letters A-H prepare a plate of Fruit with pits: such as dates, olives, peaches.
- Families whose last name begins with letters I-P prepare a plate of Fruit which is entirely edible: such as figs, raisins.
- Families whose last name begins with letters Q-Z prepare a plate of Fruit with shells: nuts (almonds, walnuts), oranges,
All plates should be prepared with fruits cut in quarters and/or pitted & nuts taken out of their shells – ready to eat.
