Perhaps the longest-standing group at Congregation Emanuel, Sisterhood takes responsibility for breakfasts and onegs, fundraising and monthly Rosh Chodesh. Their spirit is social, their goal is spiritual.

Congregation Emanuel’s Sisterhood is a dynamic organization comprised of women in different life stages, and with various backgrounds, interests and needs. We are a diverse group, from working professionals to stay-at-home moms, ranging in age from 20s to 80s. We are single, single parents, married, married with children, divorced and widowed. We share a desire to be a vital force in the life of our congregation.

We pray together, play together, take care of the students and teachers in our religious school, support our congregation and Women of Reform Judaism, and bring educational, meaningful and entertaining programming to the Temple. We support Social Action in our community and the larger Jewish world.
